The Daily Sweat is hosting a donation-based family yoga class at 10am out in our back yard…sign up on their website!
Lark Coffee Maine will be serving up affogatos (espresso over ice cream) from 11am-1pmdoes.art will be popping up 12pm-2pm to sell her amazing custom painted tote bags AND will be here running a raffle for YOU to win one of Hayden’s totes!
Front Yard Flowers will also be here 12pm-2pm with the cutest little flower truck ever-build your own bouquet 💐

Another 95+ degree day means another late opening for us-we will be open 2-10 tomorrow 7/14 in order to shorten our staff’s shifts during the heat! Come see us for a post-beach-day treat 🌊🏖️☀️

July is here which means another summer reading day is near! 📚 Join us Thursday 7/16 at 10:30am for story time with Mrs. Dixon, followed by a scoop of ice cream! Mrs. Dixon was the much-loved librarian at the Kennebunk elementary school library for many years, and we are so excited to have her!

We chose this adorable picture for this post, as it shows one of our current waffle cone bakers, Alison, enjoying a puppet show in the back lawn of Scoop Deck in 1983! Photos from the early days of Scoop Deck are such a treasure to us, and we love knowing that some who visited in the 80s are still a part of Scoop Deck’s story today 🩷

Folks, it's that time of year again; if you're pushing the clock and arriving close to 10pm, you may not end up getting any ice cream. At a certain point each evening, Scott (owner) will wander out of the shop and get on the end of the line. The folks in front of him will be the very last customers of the day, and he will not allow any additional people to get in line, (unless you're Sandra Bullock) (& he’s not kidding!)
Sometimes he's out there 20+ minutes before closing time, so if you really want ice cream, plan to arrive early enough in the evening to avoid disappointment.
We have to do this in order to get our hard-working staff home at a reasonable hour. If we didn't pull up the drawbridge at some point, we'd be scooping til the wee hours of the morning.
We appreciate your understanding & kindness with this.

Hello heat wave! 🌊
We will be opening late at 2pm Thursday & Friday to give our staff a bit of a break in the heat. We’re gearing up for a big holiday weekend and will be open normal hours Saturday and Sunday!

Hours will be modified to a late opening this THURS 7/2 & FRIDAY 7/3 due to extreme heat warnings.
We will announce exact opening time later today (Wed). We are people (& equipment) over profit and operating in a 200+ year old uninsulated barn structure is really hard on both when the temps are so high so we will avoid the peak daytime heat and advise you to do the same.

BIG SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE DADS TODAY-
Dads come in many forms and many of the best ones can often be step dads, foster dads, adoptive dads, older friends stepping into a dad role.
We also have in our thoughts today dads who have lost their children and children who have lost their dads.
But one thing we know is everything is better with ice cream so come and get it folks!
This is our “dad” of Scoop Deck, Doug and he’s the best stepdad that exists!

One thing about Shea is that she loved the color purple, and she LOVED our theme nights! To honor her yesterday (6/16), her birthday, our staff decided to hold a purple theme night 💜 Shea’s family also donated a beautiful memorial bench where you can sit and enjoy a cone in her honor.

We wanted to thank everyone who purchased one of Shea’s tote bags! Because of you, we were able to donate $919 to Rett's Roost for Shea’s birthday! 🎉

Thank you to every agency that supported and kept this large fire contained and people safe. It’s getting very busy in our area and a scary time to have such a terrible fire.
We have a scooper who lives very close to this and although it wasn’t her family’s house it was someone’s house(s). If we can do anything to support victims related to this fire please reach out to us.
Thank you Wells Maine Fire Department & all who helped.
