This is great! If you are a cottage baker or want to give it a try be sure to check this out. There are a LOT of rules but its meant to keep people safe. The rules for Johnson County would be the same in general for Lafayette co.

The Johnson County Health Department is finally hosting a Cottage Food 101 class to help answer your questions about Missouri cottage food laws!

If you’re baking or preparing food from home to sell, this is a great opportunity to hear directly from the Health Department about the dos, don’ts, food safety guidelines, and what you need to do to operate within cottage food law.
