IT’S BACK!!! The BEST student/staff lunch promotion in the area. For 16 years Handy Stop has offered great discounts to WISD staff and students. We will continue that tradition with our 10 punch Wildcat Lunch Card for just $80. 10 lunches for an average of $8 each. The lunch consists of the Taco of your choice, bag of chips or candy and a drink. Stop by the Handy Stop and get your student fixed up for lunches for the low price of just $8 per lunch.

THANK YOU FOR 16 AMAZING YEARS!!!!

As this day, era and family accomplishment comes to a close today I have to say it’s been overwhelming. It ends 50 years of the Fishbeck family owning and operating a small business in Weimar. Starting Sunday with unbelievable response to our Fried Chicken lunches to the introduction of a new menu item chicken fried steak on Tuesday to all the well wishes today. Our family has truly been blessed starting in August of 1974 when my parents Harvey and Caroline purchased the Stryk Texaco on Interstate 10. A rebuild in 1998 brought my brother Dwayne Fishbeck and I back to the family business full time to run the store, BBQ restaurant and catering business along side my parents. 16 years ago with my parents stepping back, it was my decision to do the same and buy the Handy Stop. With the support of my family and amazing wife Alison we have worked hard to earn your trust and provide a product that would make my parents proud. At the same time being very active in our community, schools and church. No words will ever express our gratitude to every customer, former employee, current employee and even the naysayers that made our business so successful. I was fortunate to have by my side Margarita Picazo as my kitchen manager for 14 years. Both her sons worked for me and I respect her family immensely. Whenever I asked her to do something new her response was “I will try”. It’s an honor to hand the reigns over to her and her family. Please support her like you supported us over the years. Again, thank you so much and may God bless you all!!

What an unbelievable day today. The response we had for our final Sunday Fried Chicken special was beyond our expectations. Selling out with pre-sale orders practically before you open humbles us and we will always be grateful for your tremendous support.
Thank you for all the kind words and well wishes.
Thanks to Emil Kunschick who manned the register on Sundays. Also to Jagger and Kay, thanks for juggling your busy college and work schedules to pitch in when needed.
I don’t have the words to express how much my amazing wife Alison meant to me each week and how hard she worked preparing each plate.

This SUNDAY July 28th will be the final time Handy Stop will be offering FISHBECK’S FAMOUS FRIED CHICKEN on a Sunday. As most of you know after 16 years we have sold the Handy Stop to our current kitchen manager Margarita Picazo and her family. Our last official day will be July 31st.

We know this Sunday’s meal will go fast so PLEASE get your orders in early. Call 979-725-9029 to reserve your order. (Please don’t post orders on this page to avoid confusion.)
