People ask if we eat the food from our garden. It seems like a strange question to me. But yes, we eat the food. Tonight’s dinner from the garden is spaghetti squash with sauce made from fresh tomatoes and cucuzza. All the herbs were grown in the garden too. Mangia. the sausage was from Murphys, a local grocery.

Pesto day. Pesto is easy to make and freezes really well. Ingredients: Fresh Basil, toasted pine nuts (you can substitute other favorite nuts), parmigiano reggiano, evoo, fresh garlic, and salt. Blend it all. Serve on pasta, meat, or vegetables.

Today’s harvest. Spinach, basil, spaghetti squash, butternut squash, cucuzza squash, cherry tomato. Tonight we will be making pesto for the freezer. And for dinner potato, cucuzza fritters.
