These whole-grain double chocolate chip cookies are made FROM SCRATCH in our kitchens with healthy grains, a little bit of cocoa powder, and some mini chocolate chips.

These all-star menus are designed based on STUDENT'S FAVES including kiddo's MOST FAVORITE menu items. We serve what kids want while ensuring all menu items adhere to USDA federal nutrition guidelines according to the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.

🥪 Today was a DELICIOUS and fun lunch day in CCISD elementary school cafeterias. Students could choose between homemade Mini Kolaches or a Grilled Cheese Sandwich for a main dish. A deli meat and cheese sandwich is offered daily for students as well.

🥣 With Grilled Cheese on the menu, of course tomato soup was offered in addition to steamed green beans. Diced peaches and apple juice were served as fruit options. Unflavored and chocolate milk are the daily milk options.

🫱🏽 Students may select their own items every day and are encouraged to select a fruit or vegetable to make a complete meal.

🌧️ The weather outside is indeed FRIGHTFUL! ☔️

But inside our cafeterias, the smells and smiles are surely delightful! 🥰

Today in all our elementary schools, students were served a warm, home-baked cinnamon roll which is also whole grain. Lightly iced and served with fruit, juice, and milk, you can send your kiddo off to school knowing they will get a healthy and filling meal for just $1.25.*
