🍕 Pizza Around the States: New York!

Our pizza road trip has arrived in The Big Apple… but not for New York style!

This month, we’re serving up Grandma Style 🇮🇹

Our version is a thin-crust rectangular pie with fresh mozzarella on the bottom and stripes of marinara, pesto and house-made vodka sauce on top. It’s finished with pecorino, fresh basil and a drizzle of olive oil. 🤌

Grandma-style pizza was originally created by Italian-American grandmothers who had recently immigrated to the United States and needed a way to make pizza in their home ovens.

For the month of September, our Pizza Road Trip is heading to Detroit, Michigan for one of America’s most iconic pizza styles!

🍕 DETROIT STYLE PIZZA
Thick crust, crispy caramelized edges, and those famous square slices! Cheese and toppings are baked directly on the dough, then finished with tomato sauce and Parmesan on top.

Fun fact: Detroit-style pizza’s rectangular shape comes from the pans it’s traditionally baked in—originally repurposed oil drip pans from auto shops! 🚘

We are incredibly grateful to Blue Mountain Pizza for once again choosing to support Elevate through its amazing community give-back program! 🤩🙌

Throughout September, Blue Mountain Pizza will double every donation made to Elevate through its donation box. 📆 Then, on Thursday, September 17, they’ll give back 25% of the day’s sales to Elevate!
