We sure hope that the chaos of the mornings is starting to fade and the before school routine is calming down.

You made it to Thursday and it's time to treat yourself and the kids during Ice Cream Happy Hour.

Thursdays from 3-close single Central Dairy cones/cups are just $2, this includes the tax. A great treat for any age.

What a busy and glorious Summer we are having and we can't believe August is 1/2 over. Lot's of amazing things are being planned as we head into Fall. (Well Fall on the calendar at least as we don't know if this heat will ever break.)

On September 1st we are rolling out a new lunch menu that will include our current popular sandwiches and we will add soups, salads and bring back daily specials. We will post a menu when it is completed.

With the start of the new school year we are excited to have Ice Cream Happy Hour on Thursdays. Beginning August 27th from 3pm to Close come on in for $2.00 single Central Dairy cups/cones. That will include the tax.

Also beginning in September we will have Snack Time Specials on Thursdays and Fridays from 3pm-Close and Saturdays from 11-Close. Some fun snack items will be available on a rotating basis. Nachos, Pizza, Wings, Hot Dogs, etc Perfect fun for after school.

We are super excited to have some great new items and fun for you all.

We've been a part of this community a long time and absolutely LOVE it!

Face Book is weird and I came across this photo from 13 years ago when Sam was 16. In Samantha Keeton's wildest dreams I bet she never thought she'd own an ice cream shop/cafe and the building, The Rigsby House, that this pot still sits in front of.

Six years later from when this photo was taken, what is now known as Sweet Sam's on Route 66 was born.

Cheryl brought out her daughter to help spruce the pots up.

What a beautiful morning to be out and about and dine al fresco on our patio. Little wind so the umbrellas are up to invite you in.

Breakfast is served until 11:00 and then lunch. The first rush has come and gone so currently, 9:00 am, there is no waiting.

It was really awesome to be mentioned in the July/August edition of Missouri Life Magazine.

It was even more awesome to see that Eclectic Originals vendor JB, with JB's Spice Blends, so many great flavors, featured. Also featured is our artist friend Ray Harvey with Ray Harvey Art. The BEST muralist in the State and in our opinion the country. What great company Sam's is in.

The rain and wondering what else the weather will do has delayed us but we will be up and running for the Route 66 yard sale by 10 & all day tomorrow.
