We are so excited to co-sponsor the History Day with the Pulaski County Museum & Historical Society.

It may or may not be rainy but either way it is ALWAYS a great day to learn about where you live!

Stop in at the FREE 1903 Courthouse museum and take it all in. (Donations are GREATLY APPRECIATED)!

Sweet Sam's location has a lot of local history too. Ask us about this iconic spot and "attached" gas station owned and operated by the Rigsby's.

Come visit us tomorrow, June 13, and learn about local history!

Spoiler alert...our special guest is JB King! JB is a local author, retired Missouri Highway patrolman and former Pulaski County Sheriff.

🚐 Welcome, Tin Can Tourists! 🛣️

The City of Waynesville would like to extend a warm welcome to the Tin Can Tourists, a group of RV enthusiasts traveling historic Route 66 and experiencing the communities that make the Mother Road so special.

Nearly a year ago, members of the group reached out to us to begin planning their visit. Their excitement about exploring Waynesville and our historic downtown was contagious, and we were honored to host them. They filled our entire RV park—and then some—as they made Waynesville a stop on their Route 66 adventure.

One of the things we value most is hearing from visitors about their experiences in our community. During their stay, many of these travelers shared glowing reviews about the delicious food and outstanding hospitality they received at Hopper's Pub. Later, they made their way to Sweet Sam's, where Sam was preparing to close for the evening but graciously stayed open to welcome and serve the group.

The hospitality didn't stop there. When one of the RV travelers experienced a tire issue during their visit, the team at 66 Garage stepped in to help. The customer was quick to praise the shop's prompt service, professionalism, and friendly staff, sharing how grateful they were for the quick assistance that got them back on the road.

Stories like these are exactly why we are proud of our community. Our local businesses don't just provide services—they go above and beyond to take care of people. Whether it's staying open a little later, serving a great meal, or helping a traveler in need, these small acts leave a lasting impression.

Thank you to Hoppers Pub, Sweet Sam's on Route 66, 66 Garage, and all of our businesses and residents who help make Waynesville a destination where visitors feel genuinely welcomed and treated like family.

We hope the Tin Can Tourists enjoyed their time in Waynesville and carry a little piece of our community with them as they continue their journey along Historic Route 66.

Safe travels, and thank you for choosing Waynesville! ❤️

Today is Samantha's, aka Sweet Sam's, 29th birthday!

She is out this weekend dog sitting but she'd love if you came in anyway to support her and this little shop, her dream. She is pretty reserved with emotions but everyday is a blessing!

Happy Happy Birthday to our Sweet Girl!!!!

It was absolutely wonderfully nuts and full of people in here from about 9:30-12:30 but now we're sitting here looking out the big picture at the rain falling on the square. All I can think about is this scene from the Cat In The Hat.

We're here until 7:00 and Ice Cream is delicious and perfect in any kind of weather.
