I’d like to thank all the people that voted for us in “ Best of WNC 2026” , As well as our loyal customers , and all our staff. Although it’s not “Best KAVA Bar “ YET, This means a lot to Joanna and I and makes all the hard-work worth it.
But we have to admit we were a little surprised that a non-alcoholic establishment that sells drinks from the South Pacific won “Business that best represents the Spirit of the Town”
In a Small Mountain Town in western NC.
But after we thought about it and looked up what the spirit of Appalachia was it made more sense to us.
1. Hospitality: When entering, people notice a warm Ambience ( vibe if you will) followed by the staff that takes extra care in making your time here relaxing and enjoyable. We want the stress of the world left outside .
2. Community: Our business wouldn’t exist with out our loyal customers. Over the years a community has grown in our bar and it is truly a second home where people come to relax be around friends, Celebrate the good times, support each other in the bad times and just over make each other’s existence in this world a little bit better.
3. Resilience: All I can say is for newcomers from Florida opening a kava bar in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains is not for the faint of heart. But neither of us have one.
Thank you very much again and come by tomorrow night (at 5pm 9/18/26) to celebrate our 3rd anniversary of being in business in this wonderful Town!
