🥛 THE SCOOP ON RAW MILK ❄️

One of the questions we hear most often is…

“How long does raw milk last?”

The answer is actually pretty simple:

🌡️ Temperature matters more than anything else.

The colder your milk stays from the moment you pick it up, the longer it will stay fresh for drinking.

💗 Our best tips:

🧊 Bring a cooler when picking up your milk.
Whether you’re picking up from us or one of our retail partners like Twelvepole Trading Post, keeping it cold during the drive home makes a big difference.

🚗 Having your milk delivered?
Please make sure someone is available to receive it, or leave a cooler with ice packs where your delivery can be safely placed.

❄️ Refrigerate immediately.
Don’t leave it sitting on the counter while you unload groceries.

🥛 Store it in the back of your refrigerator, where temperatures stay the coldest and most consistent.

📅 When consistently kept cold, many of our customers find their raw milk stays fresh for drinking for approximately 8–10 days from the packaging date.

👅 Everyone’s taste buds are different, so you may notice the milk beginning to naturally sour a little sooner or a little later than someone else.

✨ And here’s the best part…

When raw milk naturally begins to sour, it isn’t necessarily the end of its usefulness!

Instead, it’s the perfect time to use it for:
🧀 Homemade cheese
🥣 Yogurt
🥄 Sour cream
🍞 Baking
🥞 Pancakes, biscuits, and other favorite recipes
