Tomorrow night, the Battle of the Waxhaws begins — and we are bringing history straight into the heart of town.

Join us for the Friday Night March into Downtown Waxhaw, one of the most special traditions of Battle Weekend. Revolutionary War reenactors, soldiers, music, and living history will make their way from the Museum of the Waxhaws through Waxhaw’s historic district and into downtown.

This is more than a march — it is a moment to welcome 1780 back to Waxhaw.

Friday Night March into Downtown Waxhaw
Friday, June 6
March arrives downtown around 7:00 PM
Best gathering spot: Mule Barn Mercantile by 6:45 PM
Final gathering place: Community Corner under the historic Waxhaw water tower

The Guilford Courthouse Fife & Drum will be downtown to help lead the way as the march arrives and gathers under the water tower. Bring your family, line the streets, and help us welcome the beginning of the Battle of the Waxhaws American Revolution reenactment and living history weekend.

Then come see us Saturday and Sunday at the Museum of the Waxhaws for battles, demonstrations, encampments, food, vendors, horses, artillery, music, and living history for all ages.
