Well two things: first, we were nominated for BEST BAKERY in Ellis Co!
Second: We’re getting a makeover!

I’m not one to plan - especially this far in advance. However, something about 15 years in business has stuck with me. 10 came and went. I think we were recovering from the shut down and just happy to still be here. At 5 we were just a baby business. But 15! 15 years! It deserves to be celebrated. And in Bittersweet fashion we’re going to do it in a big way. So mark your calendars now - December 28, 2027 is the date we’re working towards.

First on the list: we’re getting the entire building repainted. We’re going to start outside and eventually work our way inside. While this part starts Monday, over the next year you’re going to see a lot of changes.

We were planning to open our second location this year but with the state of things we’ve decided to stay right here and invest back into the community that built us. There is no place else like where we currently are. It is special and magic and we are honored to be such a big part of downtown, and trust me when I tell you we are going to make our building shine from the inside out and absolutely do it justice.

✨ So that’s part one ✨
Then we just need new floors, new counters, a new sound system, outdoor storage, new seating and then a mystical angel investor people often talk about having. And when i say angel I don’t mean me. A different angel. A real one. And that’s it i think? Easy.

In the meantime: what color do you think we should do?
- keep it the same, just give it a refresh
- Go dark and moody
- Finally go PINK!

YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS
Make sure your notifications are on: because I’m posting CAKE CLASSES 🚨✨

I thought it was the end of an era. Thought maybe our kitchen had gotten a bit too crowded. But I’ve decided to move some bits and bobs around, Tetris my life, and bring classes BACK to Bittersweet. Is it going to be the last time? I’m not sure - so don’t miss your chance at snagging a seat to chat and learn all things cake with yours truly.

The Rundown:
You don’t have to be a decorator or have any experience to come to a class with me. We structure our evenings together with one purpose in mind: let’s relax. Learn a new skill - or at least have fun trying to. And eat cake. And maybe have a cocktail. So okay it’s a few things but they’re the kinda commitments and things you wanna do.

How to get a seat in my class:
As always I’m giving you a heads up (this post) but tomorrow at 5pm I’ll post class dates and times with a link to book. I’ll post here on insta, Facebook and I’ll even do an email blast.

Tip: if you’re ordering for a group of friends designate one person to do so in the event the class books out so you can all be together.

And mostly BE READY: our classes book up fast. So make your choice and checkout quickly. Simply adding a class to your cart doesn’t reserve your spot!

I was nervous posting this menu but hearing you all come in and love it yesterday made my heart so happy. My favorite thing is listening and watching you all stare at the case in wonder. It’s sinful and fun (my favorite things) whimsical and absolutely delicious.
