Well that’s a wrap on The Simple Cafe!! This week has been full of so many emotions. We have tried our best to find a new buyer to keep a cafe here but unfortunately we haven’t found that person yet. Praying for a miracle!!
Thank you to each and everyone who visited and enjoyed a meal! We appreciate all of you and the love you have poured out to us!!

This might be a long post but it’s real!

As the word is getting out abt the cafe there has been so many emotions! We have had customers cry with us and pray with us the last week. This is not only hard for us but hard for the family we have made with this cafe. We have sat at tables and met so many new people, we have sat at tables and told our testimonies and listened to others tell us theirs. We have fed ones who just got out of jail and we have fed the ones going to jail. We have prayed over customers and we have been prayed over by customers. We sit here this morning one the silence of the cafe still trying to pray for a miracle to save the history in what has been a cafe for so many years. My heart is heavy thinking abt judges and attorneys who come daily just to have coffee and visit and heck who even get up and serve coffee to others (I love that part ❤️)
I don’t want to feel like a failure but I wonder had we not taken this leap if it wld have stayed a cafe? We will never know…please know from the bottom of our hearts that we are praying for a miracle that a buyer will walk in the door before Sat. and keep this place a cafe…maybe not as our cafe but to keep the doors open for the locals.

As the days draw closer to the closing of the cafe some foods will not be replenished. We are out of chicken and will not be ordering anymore for the week. We are sorry but just trying to finish out what we have.

***To our regulars who have personalized coffee cups here please make plans to come by this week to pick them up and take home.

Good morning friends!

It is with a heavy heart that we let everyone know the cafe is for sale. We are letting everyone know on here since you will probably hear around town. Also putting it on here so you hear the truth….we are not selling because we can’t do it, we are not selling because we hate it, we are not selling because the food isn’t excellent! We are selling because have decided to go another direction. I don’t know when this will happen but please know that we will keep all of you in the know. I ask that if you pray to please pray for our peace as we move thru this time. I also ask that you pray for my worry…I don’t want to sell the name. As many of you know this name and logo has a lot of meaning and I don’t want someone else to take that!
Please know that we love each and everyone of you and appreciate you more than you know….again we will keep all of you updated!
We will remain open until this happens to it normal posted hours

We are not doing dinners on Wednesday anymore. We are still doing catfish and burgers on Friday nights 5-7:30

Due to lack of A/C in our kitchen there will be no dinners until further notice. We are sorry but it is to hot for my kitchen staff right now.
We pray we can get this taken care of soon…we will post as soon as we start dinners back.
