I would like to let everybody know that due to my health Sheila’s Carolina Kitchen will not be reopening. I would like to thank all of my loyal customers for their support over the last 8 years, I couldn’t have done it without you. It has been a true pleasure to serve you, get to know you, and create new friendships over the past 8 years. Although my family and I appreciate everyone’s concern, we may not be able to respond to everyone as we focus on quality family time and health. All of my love and best wishes for all of you!

I am realizing that not everyone checks their email associated with their GoFundMe account. Here is an update I posted on the GoFundMe page.

Hi everyone,
I have fantastic news! Mom has been approved for the Merck Access Program, which is a grant program through the drug company, Merck, that will provide her immunotherapy free of charge. Many of you sent through information about the Merck Access program, and I had previously looked into it and was told mom was ineligible because ovarian cancer is an "off label" indication of Keytruda. But, that is not the case! And, thank you to John Houlihan for sending the GoFundMe to his oncologist cousin who said he has many patients with mom's diagnosis on the Merck program for Keytruda. This prompted me to call Merck again, and this time I got a different answer! This means that mom will get her 3-weekly immunotherapy for free for as long as she needs it.
This also means that we did not have to pay for the dose of Keytruda that mom received on July 14th. Merck was able to overnight the drug. Therefore, I am planning to refund your very generous donations! We are incredibly grateful to all of you who donated, and it really made mom feel loved and supported, and reminded her of the amazing support system she has around her. We were raising money for one very specific reason - to fund mom's treatment which she received on July 14th. And, we no longer need the money for that specific reason, so I am working out how to refund your money through GoFundMe. I am awaiting an email from GoFundMe for the next steps. If we are unable to refund the money through GoFundMe we will get your mailing address and send you a check.
Thank you to everyone! Your generosity and support has done mom's soul a world of good.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this causes! The building was struck by lightening and fried the internet and phone lines. Therefore, our care machine is not working. Until further notice we can only accept cash. Also, we are not ignoring you if you try and call an order in; the phones are down.

Wow! We are completely overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of support and generosity my mom has just received. We have already met and exceeded our goal of $9,355!!!! It feels amazing to be apart of such a loving and supportive community. I have turned off the donations, because we have met the goal for the coast of mom's treatment next Thursday. Thanks to you all mom will get her treatment on July 14th!!!

As many of you may know, Sheila has Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma. Her cancer recurred very soon after finishing chemotherapy, and therefore the recommended treatment is immunotherapy. We are currently battling with the insurance company to get this treatment approved for mom. However, we don't want her to miss out on life-saving treatments while we wait for answers from the insurance company. We appreciate anything you are able to donate.

We’re open! 8am-3pm. Breakfast is served from 8am-11am and lunch is served from 11am-3pm.

We are open tonight until 8pm!!! Come see us for some fried seafood, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, etc. We are out of: onion rings and chicken strips currently, but this list will likely grow through the evening.
We also do not have soda due to a national CO2 shortage.
