🌎 Happy Earth Day
Roughly one-third of all food produced globally is lost or wasted each year. That's not just food — it's the water, land, labor, and energy behind it.
As food scientists, we think about spoilage every day. And the more we learn, the clearer it becomes: extending the life of perishable foods is one of the most practical, high-impact contributions our industry can make toward a more sustainable food system.
Today, we're grateful for the researchers, manufacturers, farmers, and partners working to keep good food on plates and out of landfills. There's still a long way to go — but the science, and the collective will, keep moving forward.
