Good evening everyone, sorry that this has taken me so long to post. Iāve been looking for the right words to say about something my family and I together have felt so strongly about for the last 14 years. What started as a family friendly backyard bbq held at a friendsā house on Bertha Street(7 blocks away from The RibFest grounds) to a 2 year stint at Midas of Wausau and ending right here in Weston at Dales Weston Lanes for 3 years. It was coined as āMeatFestāā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦. IT WAS NEVER REALLY A FEST, but it sure sounded good!?!? š ššš. This took a village!!! Family, Friends, Loyal Customers, this entire community. It was 3 days of the summer for our family to be together to serve up some of the BEST BBQ in town!! It gave so many something to look forward to each summer. Every year on the last day of MeatFest we would start talking about the next year. Last year the vibe was different. I told Mandy and my kids we would talk at Christmas time and make a decision on 2025 then. After several conversations with Mandy(of course our kids would keep this going forever because they knew how much it meant to me). We decided that itās ok to bid a fond farewell to something that was so good for such a long time. Times change and so do we all. I leaned on my family(my staff) and now itās time for them to lean on me. My kids are getting married and having kids of their own so time is at a premium. With that being said, Iām still cookin up the BEST BBQ, youāll just have to come check out KimBobās Cafe to get it. Words canāt express what a pleasure it was to serve you each July. My family will be forever grateful!!! See you for lunch sometime.
