Another week, another staff member to meet! And this week we’d like to introduce Chef Isaac! Whom you may have heard singing from the kitchen a time or two.
Isaac’s journey started at just 13, working at Tri City as a host and busser. He then went through culinary boot camp his junior year of high school; followed by an apprenticeship under the guidance of Chef Drew Steinke at Bunkers his senior year. After graduating from Wausau East he started full time in 2021 at Bunkers along side Chef Drew. He then started at The Chatterbox in June of 2025, while attending NorthCentral Technical College for the culinary program. His days would begin early in the morning with classes through the afternoon, then straight to work at The Chatterbox until close. His commitment to consistency and excellence are admirable, to say the least. Isaac graduated this year with his culinary associates degree, way to go Chef!!
Although Isaac takes every dish he makes seriously and with high standards, he always has a moment to make those around him laugh. Isaac is truly one of the most lively and energetic people you’ll meet! His people skills are just as impressive as his cooking. Our favorite activity with Isaac is listening to him answer ‘spam risk’ calls. As you will probably have to walk away in laughter. In such a high strung industry, Chef Isaac is truly so appreciated for his calm demeanor and ability to keep food at top quality.
Chef Isaac is big on friends & family. He especially loves spending time with his girlfriend, Alexis. He enjoys eating out at any restaurant he can as he has an appreciation for food that only a really good chef could have. So obviously he is always first in line to try a new cuisine or a new exotic dish.
“He's genuinely one of the happiest people I know and it's been a joy watching him grow as a person and a chef. “- Chef Drew Steinke
If you haven’t tried Isaac’s fantastic talent, come down to The Chatterbox for a great meal!
