Today, Waukegan Mayor Sam Cunningham and Consulado General de México en Chicago, Reyna Torres Mendivil, hosted a special ceremony at the Stiner Pavilion at the Waukegan Municipal Beach celebrating Xonita’s visit to Waukegan, celebrating our community’s deep connections to Mexico, and helping conclude Mexico Week in Chicago.

The event brought together residents, families, community leaders, and visitors from across the region to celebrate culture, community, and the start of the summer season along our lakefront. Thank you to everyone who came out to be part of this memorable weekend.

The City of Waukegan would also like to recognize and thank all of the partners and sponsors who helped make this international event possible.

We want to thank all our customers in regards to our reviews. We did receive one bad one today however we do want you to know there are some items on our menu that we do not provide sauces for, but if you do need them always, please request them we will always provide to your request. We do apologize to that customer, especially since she didn’t like our food, but our customers know that we always go above and beyond to accommodate anything you guys request again thank you for your understanding and for your support.
