Here are 2 menus from the Italian Village that Mike set up with Aldo Nudi. It was located on Belvidere, just east of Elmwood. After they split up, Mike opened Mike’s Pizza in 1964 and Aldo opened Mama Mia’s in Park City. Check out these prices.

Also, with apologies to Mark Rickerd, we lost his ad from 40 years ago and just found it the other day, unfortunately it was not included in our nostalgia post.🥴

To our customers:
This is not our official website. It was set up by our customers for their use & enjoyment and has over 11,000 followers. You can tell us how great you think we are, make constructive criticisms or complain about an experience you had. That’s fine with us. We read most of the comments and if there's a problem, we try to resolve whatever we can.

What this site isn’t is a forum for vulgar, nasty, hateful or malicious comments. Facebook has a ‘hate filter’ and any inappropriate comment is instantly deleted. Additionally, if we see these types of comments, those people are permanently banned from our site. We can’t control what people say on their own sites, but we have a zero tolerance for it here.

To all of you that haven’t heard, we have reopened. We would like to thank those people that made it possible. First and foremost we would like to thank the Waukegan Fire Department who arrived just a few minutes after I called and whose quick response saved a total loss. We would also like to thank all of our hard-working employees who cleaned and painted long hours to get us reopened. And last but not least, we would like to thank all of our customers, who mobbed us right after we reopened and made it seem like we were never closed.

We wanted to thank all of the people that were quick to point out to Miguel Rivera that the people in this photo were in fact, acting responsibly. The Facebook post, which slams the customers and business, clearly shows the people pictured all have masks, were standing in groups outside 6 feet apart, waiting for a phone call to tell them their pizza was ready. I suspect even Miguel‘s ‘group’ does the same.
We have cleared everything out of our lobby, put social distance tape 6 feet apart and sanitize the lobby several times a day. We also want to point out that pizza is one of the safest things you can eat. It’s cooked at 550° and kept in a warmer at 220°, more than enough to kill any virus....and no one touches the food after it is cooked.
