Diagnosis....spinal stenosis. I've been dealing with this for the past six months and it got so bad today that I went to the emergency room and they admitted me. I have an appointment with my neurosurgeon on Friday to see if another back surgery is in the near future. So I'll be admitted here at the North Chicago VA until Thursday as they attempt get my excruciating back, hip and leg pain under control.

We are always closed on Monday but we do have people that come in on Monday to clean and prep but when there is a holiday that falls on a Monday we usually close on the Tuesday following that holiday so that everyone that works on Monday can have a day off to be with their family. So we will be closed Monday September 7th and Tuesday September 8th and reopen Wednesday September 9th at 11am.

Also, we have more FREE, frozen, uncooked rib tips and ground beef brisket for anyone that needs food to feed their family this Labor Day Weekend. We are here today from 11am - 7pm.

Happy to report the power is back on at the restaurant and my next career search continues......

The restaurant is closed early tonight (8/12/26) at 5:15pm. One of the businesses close to us had a transformer catch fire and since all of the services are tied together our restaurant is completely without power. Comed is on site and hopes to have the power up and running in the next few hours. Apologies for the inconvenience.
