We’re headed to the World Food & Music Festival in Des Moines August 29–30!

Our ice cream truck will be there beginning Saturday morning, serving up scoops of homemade ice cream, floats and ice cream sandwiches! It’ll be our last big truck event of the summer, so come see us and grab a scoop!

Our final 5th anniversary employee spotlight is here!

Today, we’re highlighting Drake! A note from Colleen: Drake might tie Annie as one of our youngest employees on our OG team when we opened 5 years ago! He always walks into work with a smile on his face and brings a positive energy with him wherever he goes. Speaking of wherever he goes...lately his main responsibility at HSC is being the face of our ice cream truck! Drake lead over 30 ice cream truck events this summer alone and I am always so thrilled to receive follow up emails from the hosts where they compliment his customer service, attitude and work ethic! He is a wonderful representation of HSC outside of our physical shops and it's been such a pleasure watching him grow with our company!

As we celebrate 5 years of Home Sweet Cone, we’re taking some time this month to recognize the four employees who have been with us since day one.

Today, we’re highlighting Lili!

A note from Colleen: Lili immediately brought joy, happiness and an infectious smile to the HSC team. She has been such an amazing employee since day 1, with one of her strongest attributes being her amazing customer service. She has such a wonderful way of remaining calm and positive even in the toughest situations. A fun fact about Lili is that her younger siblings have all worked at HSC as well!

The Iowa State Fair is officially here, and we’re putting our own spin on the Butter Cow by serving up melted butter for your ice cream! 🐄🧈🍦

Come in and try it drizzled over your favorite flavor. To really kick it up a notch, sprinkle some maldon sea salt on top and honestly… this topping is pretty good! You’ll have to give it a try and see what you think. 👀
