I wouldn't be able to operate on Mother's Day without the dedication of three moms who work every year on this day. Master Kitchen Chef Margarita, General Manager Kristie, and Sushi Chef Taeko! Thank you for all the hard work you do every day! I am truly grateful and super lucky/blessed to have you working here for so many years. Happy Mother's Day. ❤️💐

I have a new short film project that is currently in its concept phase, but moving to completion in a written story so it can be pitched to a funding source. There is also ongoing historical research happening for this film. As well as permit applications to be able to film in certain locations.

The film will be centered around a particular cultural event with most of the filming occurring in the City of Watsonville, California. It is a process to take a concept and turn it into a written story and then transform that writing to a visual story telling format through the lens of a camera.

This film is a big departure from the paranormal for me. However, Kevin Shah, from the movie “The Conjuring” and Cherie Pruitt from “Our Haunted Home Town” TV series are involved in this project with me.

And, my friend, new to the industry, and fills in occasionally to help at Miyuki, Consuelo Gomez, will co-host with me in this film and is a major partner of the historical research for this film.

This project could take a couple of years to reach completion, but the ball is rolling and I am excited to have this film outside of Hollywood and on a grass roots level for film festivals. Having creative control and something that is authentic and organic (not A.I.) is the right path for me to be on for this project!🎥

I was invited by In Good Company, part of PBF&W event, as owner/chef of Miyuki, to partake in a networking event with other local restaurant owners and some world class owner/chefs to mingle and discuss trends, successes, and failures in the industry on the beautiful Pebble Beach Golf course (Hays Place Restaurant) sipping a 100 year old Hennessy Paradis! The smoked Gator sausage was amazing! Great event!🥃😎
