I want to say something that I normally wouldn’t.
There seems to be a perception that DJs at the Park is some kind of easy money situation for me because of the contract I have with the City.
The truth is, that couldn’t be further from reality.
I’ve put a tremendous amount of my own money, time, energy and personal sweat into this place. I’ve worked countless hours behind the scenes and in the kitchen, taken on the risk, and continued to show up because I genuinely care about making DJs at the Park something our community can be proud of.
But the reality is also that community support matters.
A restaurant located at a golf course is only as strong as the activity around it. When rounds, tournaments, events and local traffic decline, we feel it immediately. There is no magic contract that changes that.
I’m not posting this to complain or ask anyone to feel sorry for me.
I’m posting it because sometimes people see the doors open, the music playing, the food coming out and assume everything must be going great.
It isn’t.
We’re fighting hard to keep this place going.
And every person who chooses to eat here, grab a drink, come to a show, bring friends, share a post or simply tell someone about us genuinely makes a difference.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at DJs at the Park.
I just wish more people could see how much it takes behind the scenes to keep the doors open.
Thank you to the people who have supported us. You matter more than you probably realize. ❤️
