We were honored to host this thoughtful gathering created by the Waterloo Public Library and welcome everyone who joined us. Thank you for spending part of your morning with us.
These gentle moments together are often the most memorable 🤍

Both evenings for our South African–Indian dinner experience have now filled.

We’re looking forward to these nights and to sharing a menu that reflects a different side of what inspires us in the kitchen.

For those who had hoped to join us this time, we are already thinking about how to offer this experience again soon.

Earlier this week, I shared a little about the flavors that shaped where Panache began.

These evenings are a chance to experience that part of the story in a different way.

The table will be filled with dishes drawn from the region we grew up in. Durban style curries, warm spices, and food that carries both comfort and depth of flavor.

The kind of meal where the air feels rich with aroma, the table feels full, and time seems to slow just a little.

The tearoom will take on a different rhythm for these evenings. A table set with intention, dishes meant to be passed around, and a space that invites you to settle in and stay awhile.

We are keeping it small so it remains personal and true to the experience we want to create.

If this feels like something you would enjoy, we would love to have you join us.

This week marks two years since we quietly opened our doors over Easter weekend and welcomed our very first guests.

As we’ve been reflecting on that beginning, I found myself thinking about where it all truly started, long before Panache ever existed.

Tea was never just something we drank. It was part of daily life. It meant gathering around the table, sharing homemade dishes, and always making room for one more. It was how we connected, how we showed care, and how we created space to simply be together.

I shared a small piece of that story here:

Those early influences have always been part of what we do, even when they are not always seen directly.

And in the coming days, we will be bringing that part of the story forward in a different way.

Tea was never just something we drank. It was part of the rhythm of the day. In the mornings, mid-morning, after lunch, and again in the afternoon. On colder days, it was something to warm your hands as much as anything else. It was simply there, woven into everyday life. On weekends, there was almo...

There’s something we’ve been wanting to put into words for a while.

Not about the menu.
Not about reservations.

But about what Panache was always meant to be.

This piece reflects the feeling behind what we do each day, the pace, the care, and the intention that goes into creating a space where people can slow down and connect.

If you’ve visited before, you may recognize it.
If you’ve been meaning to come in, it offers a quiet glimpse into what you can expect.

This week also marks two years since we quietly opened our doors over Easter weekend and welcomed our very first guests.

It’s something we’ve been reflecting on with a lot of gratitude.

A pause for tea. A place for connection.

If you’re looking for a gift that feels a little more meaningful this year… consider gifting an afternoon tea experience. ✨💛
Our gift cards and certificates are a sweet way to give someone a moment to slow down, a little “time out” just for them. A warm pot of tea, pretty bites, a quiet table, and space to breathe. It’s simple, affordable, and still feels like such a treat.

Perfect for a friend who never does anything for themselves, someone who needs a break, or anyone who loves trying something different and a bit luxurious.

Spoil someone you love with a visit to Panache.
Sometimes the best gifts aren’t things ... they’re moments. 🎁

Happy National Cookie Day! 🍪❄️
Today we’re celebrating one of the most classic holiday cookies of all time: Linzer Cookies.

So… what exactly are Linzer cookies?
They’re the cookie-sized cousin of Austria’s famous Linzer torte, made with a tender, buttery dough, warm notes of spice, and a bright layer of fruit preserves sandwiched in the middle.
Tender, lightly crisp at the edges, softly nutty, and perfectly balanced with that sweet-tart burst of jam... No wonder they’ve become a holiday staple around the world!
