A message from our Friends at Schramm's Meadery. Ken is the legend in the Mead world and indeed all alcoholic beverages. Schramm's dinner was the last Five course Spirits dinner at the Fork n' Pint before the Fire and this was the menu. Buy a Bottle you will love it and it will help a Friend!

Ken Schramm Update
Some of you may have already read our updates on social media — on Sunday my dad was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room after suffering sustained ventricular tachycardia. The hospital team acted quickly and were able to shock his heart back in to rhythm. Operating a small business in 2025 is so stressful and my fear each time we load him into the ambulance is that he won’t be there making his usual dad jokes with the hospital staff when they let us back to see him. On Halloween of last year, he suffered a heart attack, losing consciousness and spending time in the Cardiac ICU. He went home in a LifeVest defibrillator after receiving a stent. 13 years ago tomorrow, he had a quintuple bypass surgery after suffering a heart attack earlier in the year.

Yesterday Ken received an Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator. This device will shock his heart back into rhythm as needed and will provide us some peace of mind by decreasing the possibility of sudden cardiac death.

He needs to retire, but won't because of the money owed on the orchard.
