Weihenstephaner Kellerbier on Lukr tapped today. Fresh off its trip to the US. A stellar beer brewed with some rare hops. Fantastically drinkable, a slight fruit-like grain sweetness, partially filtered, a treat to be sure.

No time for full wordy breakdown…I gotta get a family member to an appointment!

Northern German-style Pilsner brought us by two talented Lager breweries.

Barriehaus Beer Co is a multigenerational brewing family with roots here in the USA going back to the mid 1800’s. They, and many other European immigrants, brought us their brewing knowledge that gave birth to the massive wave of American Lager today. I love telling folks from FL about this brewery because many times they have no idea the amazingness that sits in their backyard. These folks are so nice, they didn’t even call the cops one day when I snuck in their back door to tell them I loved their product and looked forward to one day pouring it here. Look for them at festivals!

Von Trapp brewery is not only famous for its award winning beers, location & beautiful views, but also for their namesake family…the Von Trapps. There is a movie if you’re not aware, watch it. They started in what was referred to as a “cobbled together” brewery, and have grown to a powerhouse producer.

This beer is only here for a moment, in all its bitter balanced, lovely crispness, cracker-like biscuit beautifulness.

I could talk all day about beer…and often do, so I’ll spare you the rest of my ramblings.

It’s Wednesday. It’s beautiful out. It’s nice and cool inside with the AC. Beer & food are sure to give you a moment where the rest of the week gets quieter and you feel a little happier.

OEC Brewing Antioch #6 is on. An Oud Bruin / Flemish red style beer. A blend of several different ales matured 9 months in a Sangiovese Cask, 2 years in Gandona Vineyards Cabernet (St. Helena, CA) barrel & 2 year old Double Barrel Antioch in an old whiskey barrel that was used for Gorgoroth.
It’s so gosh darn nice and refreshing.

There’s also the last of the Bissel Brothers Silver Swish. It’ll be gone today, so if you want a damn good 4.4% IPA this is the one.

Also Hill Farmstead Marie on Lukr. Quite near a perfect Helles, on Lukr…amazing.

Well, I guess if that’s not the right info for you… we’ll see you when we see you another day.

While our buddy Steve Magill is away in a far off land called Ireland, some other coworkers decided that since we can’t replace him…we’d dress like him!

If you know Steve, you know he’s a reliquary of beer knowledge, amongst other things. The joke is that when Steve is away, the most asked question goes from “what’s your best beer on tap” overwhelmingly to “No Steve today?”

Safe travels and many magical moments to you and yours on your mini vacation Steve.
