It is with heavy heart that we must announce that Michael’s on the Hill has closed its doors. This decision did not come lightly, as we have worked for months and months to keep the restaurant financially afloat.
It has been an honor to share your special moments - from engagements to weddings to anniversaries, and many birthdays along the way - your memories made in this space will live on forever. We strove to honor the 20+ year legacy of Michael’s on the Hill as a quintessential fine dining experience in Vermont, something we believe we achieved with our excellent culinary and service staff, with many of you telling us it was the best meal you’d had in years. This closing in no way reflects upon the excellence that our staff brought to work every single day.
We want to personally thank our community for being so supportive over the years. While this may close a chapter, it certainly doesn’t end the amazing legacy of Michael’s on the Hill in Vermont.
Thank you again for your decades of commitment to Michael’s. We wish this could have had a different outcome, but financial hurdles from purchase to closing have proved insurmountable.
