It’s Friday!!! That means The Late Scoop tonight!

I hope yall are planning on enjoying all the fun things happening on Main Street tonight while we all actively avoid the traffic and crowds in Oxford this weekend! We have lots of delicious local eating spots, late night shopping, and galleries to hang out at!

This week we have a new Cookie Butter Sundae and Milkshake that will blow your minds! Caramel Apple has still been a favorite and we are rocking through some Hummingbird Brownies à la Mode! We hope y’all come treat ya to something sweet.

Shall We Dance?

According to a landmark study in the New England Journal of Medicine, dancing frequently (more than once a week) was associated with a 76% lower risk of dementia in older adults. Other activities such as walking and swimming were also beneficial for cognitive health; however, dancing had the strongest observed link. Dancing is unique because it combines movement with cognition and sensorimotor demands. It can involve learning and recalling steps, navigating space, synchronizing to rhythm and music, reacting to a partner and making rapid adaptations in real time. This multitasking stimulates many areas of the brain at once.

We’re looking for a new employee to join our soda fountain team. If you’re friendly, love talking with people, and don’t mind a little hard work, we’d love to meet you!

What we’re looking for:

⏰Available after school, 3pm or earlier
📆Must be available Friday nights and Saturdays
💲Comfortable counting change and handling cash
✅ Reliable and responsible
🧹Self-motivated — keeps the fountain counter clean without being asked
😃Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys chatting with customers of all ages
💪Team player — happy to jump on the register or help around the store
