Everything is catching fish right now, we have rainbow chubs, fatheads, leeches, night crawlers and the last batch of spot tail shiners of the season...... and a huge selection of Crankbaits!!! Information on future fishing/hunting license purchases.

The Minnesota DNR is set to launch a new electronic licensing system for fishing and hunting licenses in June. During the transition, fishing license sales will be temporarily paused, but anglers will be allowed to fish without a license, FULL STORY: bit.ly/4dO8hSL

Fishing has picked up considerably today... many happy fishermen going home with fish for supper!!! I snuck out this afternoon and tried the new Rapala Harvest Shad in Voodoo Haze and did fantastic. Fish tacos for supper tonight as well ☺️....see everyone in the morning at the best damn baitshop on Red Lake..... and don't forget a cup of our minnow water coffee ☕️ and catch up on the latest BS too!!! ☺️🍻🎣

Minnesota DNR's new electronic licensing system launches June 9! 📆

The DNR is rolling out a modern licensing system replacement that is built for today's customers and technology. Phase one of the launch in June will include the hunting and fishing modules. 🤳

The new system offers more flexibility than ever — three ways to buy a license (mobile app, online, or in-person from a license agent) and three ways to carry it (paper, PDF, or stored in the app). 📱

As part of this transition, hunting and fishing licenses will be temporarily unavailable for purchase between June 2 - 8 as we switch over to the new system. During that time, people may fish without a license in Minnesota. All regulations for the season and bag limits will remain in effect. On June 9, fishing licenses will again be required and you will be able to purchase them through the new system. 🎣

Turkey hunters need to register their harvest before end of day (11:59 pm) June 1. They will be unable to register their harvest during the transition/cutover period. 🦃

For now, nothing changes for those needing to register or title recreational vehicles and watercraft. That module of the new system will launch at a later date. 🚤

Tuesday morning on Upper Red looks like near perfect weather. The fishing has been tougher than we usually have this time of year but with the forecast in the next 10 days, we should expect some improvement. Jig and minnows right off the first break in 4-7' of water is still producing some fish, Crankbaits will be another option to help find these roaming fish looking for lunch. We still have spot tail shiners, rainbow chubs, fatheads, leeches and night crawlers. Stop by our fully stocked baitshop on your next trip up in "Gods Country"!
