Scones with Lemon Curd & Crème Chantilly..

This week’s culinary school assignment was so much fun! I made scones, lemon curd, and crème Chantilly, and this may have been one of my favorite assignments yet. 🍋

Next week is my last assignment in Doughs & Chemical Leaveners! I’ll be reviewing yeast production and what yeast needs to make a successful dough, then making pizza dough, pizza sauce, and pizza Margherita. 🍕

Who knows? Maybe we’ll be serving pizzas at TheXLounge soon! 👀

I hate that I’m so close to putting what I love on pause. The economy has hit my small business hard, but events like this remind me why I fell in love with cooking. Despite it all, I was still blessed with the opportunity to serve one of my clients and help make a special event memorable for 50 of their family and friends. Moments like this keep Chef Ru going. ❤️🙏🏽
