🩸 HALLOWEEN DARK ROAST IS HERE.

Our one and only dark roast of the year has arrived. And for 2026, we’re taking inspiration from giallo, the Italian horror-thriller films of the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s that gave us technicolor nightmares, leather-gloved killers, and enough blood and gore to make your average slasher blush.

Named after the cult classic All the Colors of the Dark, this year’s release is a love letter to the wonderfully twisted world of giallo cinema. A little eerie, a little over the top, and very much in the spirit of Halloween.

☕ Available now at both cafes, online, and Petworth Community Market this weekend. Here for October, gone when the season ends.

New season, new lineup. Our fall menu is here: fresh daily pastries from our friends at 🌸SakuSaku Flakerie🌸 , a couple of cozy new drinks, and new/returning sandwiches and toasts we think you’ll love. Swing by Takoma or NoMa and taste your way through it. We’ll be showing off more of it in the next few weeks.

This one is our new salmon sourdough toast with dill cream, smoked salmon, pickled onions, sumac, and cumin. 🍣🧅🍞

Stoned goat is BACK!
Goat cheese, arugula, stone fruit (currently peaches) in a honey thyme syrup, on sourdough. Add some prosciutto if you’re feeling adventurous. You won’t regret it. 🐐🍑

Gobble gobble for our turkey gobbler!
Roasted turkey, roasted garlic green beans , cranberry relish, stuffing mayo, crushed sweet potato chips, on that amoroso roll (iykyk) 🦃🧄🫛🥖

Shroomy Churri for the vegan fam!
Roasted button mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, pickled jalapeños, and chimichurri on a roll.
Add some prosciutto or turkey if you need that extra protein, but it’s an absolute gem on its own.

Bright, juicy, and vibrant with notes of blackberry, dark plum, grape, and agave. A classic Kenyan profile with lively acidity and a clean finish.

🇨🇷 Aquiares | Costa Rica
A familiar face, our 6th year working with this coffee. Sweet and balanced offering an approachable cup with layered sweetness and everyday drinkability.

Both coffees are available now online and at both cafes. If you’re stopping by, ask for either as a pour over, it’s our favorite way to experience them.

To celebrate a decade of Lost Sock, we made something special - our anniversary tee is here.

Featuring a custom graphic cooked up by our friend (and longtime regular) Cris Zuniga , these oversized box-fit tees are a nod to the journey that’s brought us here, and all that’s still ahead.

They’re very limited, available now at both cafes and online. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

A couple weeks ago we celebrated 10 years of Lost Sock with this incredible crew, along with some friends and family. Looking around the room, it was hard not to feel grateful for the people who make this company what it is every single day.

And now… we’ve got one more thing to celebrate.

For the second year in a row, we’ve been voted Best Coffee Shop in DC.

This award belongs to our team, who show up every morning with care, consistency, and hospitality. And it belongs to all of you who stop by, grab a coffee, bring your friends, spend time in our cafés, and continue to support us year after year.

Thank you for making these first 10 years possible and for helping us earn this recognition. We don’t take it for granted. 🫶

New menu, who dis? 🧦☕

Meet again, El Cesar: romaine, roasted chicken thighs, pecorino romano, breadcrumbs, and our house made dressing on an amoroso roll that’s about to ruin every other caesar for you.

Say hey to the Redbird: deli turkey, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, all tucked in with our nut-free romesco (sunflower seed magic, no tree nuts here) on a roll. Bold, a little tangy, delicious. Sub the turkey for lemon pepper tofu to make it vegan.

A few other favorites are back: the famous Egg-Lote returns in all its glory, and the Tonic (this time with guava) is our new obsession. You saw it here first, folx!

Oh, and don’t miss out on our corn empanadas. We said what we said. 🌽

One year in NoMa.🎉

A year of early mornings, regular orders, familiar faces, and figuring things out as we go. What started as an empty corner is now part of our daily routine, and hopefully part of yours too.
