A couple weeks ago we celebrated 10 years of Lost Sock with this incredible crew, along with some friends and family. Looking around the room, it was hard not to feel grateful for the people who make this company what it is every single day.

And now… we’ve got one more thing to celebrate.

For the second year in a row, we’ve been voted Best Coffee Shop in DC.

This award belongs to our team, who show up every morning with care, consistency, and hospitality. And it belongs to all of you who stop by, grab a coffee, bring your friends, spend time in our cafés, and continue to support us year after year.

Thank you for making these first 10 years possible and for helping us earn this recognition. We don’t take it for granted. 🫶

Here’s to our team. Here’s to our community. And here’s to the next 10. 🧦☕️

New menu, who dis? 🧦☕

Meet again, El Cesar: romaine, roasted chicken thighs, pecorino romano, breadcrumbs, and our house made dressing on an amoroso roll that’s about to ruin every other caesar for you.

Say hey to the Redbird: deli turkey, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickled onions, all tucked in with our nut-free romesco (sunflower seed magic, no tree nuts here) on a roll. Bold, a little tangy, delicious. Sub the turkey for lemon pepper tofu to make it vegan.

A few other favorites are back: the famous Egg-Lote returns in all its glory, and the Tonic (this time with guava) is our new obsession. You saw it here first, folx!

Oh, and don’t miss out on our corn empanadas. We said what we said. 🌽

Come get your hands on all of it.

Available at Takoma & NoMa!

One year in NoMa.🎉

A year of early mornings, regular orders, familiar faces, and figuring things out as we go. What started as an empty corner is now part of our daily routine, and hopefully part of yours too.

Thanks for spending your mornings, afternoons, and coffee breaks with us. We’re grateful to be here and excited for what’s next.

To celebrate, drip coffee is just $1 all day today at NoMa.☕️

Bright, delicate, and quietly complex - meet Toronja💅
Our first coffee from Teodomiro Jiménez’s Finca La Toronja in Loja, Ecuador.

A unique double fermentation process packs this field blend with floral aromatics, soft citrus and layered sweetness. This coffee changes quite a bit days off roast- we get notes of strawberry, tangerine, and melon with a wafer or biscuit like finish.

Give this one a try and grab a bag online or at one of the cafes!

NEW BEANS! Back for year two with coffee from the Dukunde Kawa Musasa cooperative. This is MBILIMA - a natural processed Bourbon from Gakenke, Rwanda with notes of grape jam and almond butter 🍇🌰

We were lucky to meet Ernest, the president of the cooperative, at World of Coffee this year. A humble, thoughtful leader who cares deeply about quality and the farmers he works with.

Grateful to keep building this relationship
