Introducing the newest addition to our pastry program, Alfajores!!!

Thought to originate in the Middle East in the form of long, thin cookies topped with things like almonds and sugar, Alfajores reached Spain in the early 8th century. Once there, the more traditional sandwich cookie with creamy fillings was adopted which the conquistadors eventually brought with them to South America in the 16th century. Today, you can find them in many of these same countries where they are filled with things like honey, molasses, or dulce de leche (our filling of choice) topped with sugar or spiced nuts.

La Famosa follows the traditional Argentine style, rolling the cookie in toasted coconut and topping the house-made shortbread cookies with confectioners sugar. Come by today and enjoy them as a morning snack with your coffee or as a dessert.

It's time to brunch, Boricua style!!!

Introducing:
The El Rollo - Slices of tamarind glazed meatloaf on a brioche bun with tamarind ketchup, crispy onions and an over easy egg served with fried potato hash
&
The Bistec al Caballo - our marinated strip steak sliced and served with a runny egg and Puerto Rican style fried rice.

Available Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 1pm.

And don't forget our new sweet and savory breakfast pastries too l!
