⚠️ Buyer Beware – Costco East Peoria ⚠️

Stopped at Costco East Peoria today and caught something most people would never notice.

Whole New York strip loins labeled USDA Prime…

But they didn’t look Prime.

I’ve bought and sold thousands of pounds of meat over the last few years, so the first thing I do is stand the loin up and check the marbling.

Immediately knew something was off.

So I flipped one over…

➡️ USDA Choice stamp from the packager

Then I checked another… and another… and another.

Every single whole loin in the case:

• Labeled Prime
• Priced as Prime
• Stamped Choice

One mislabeled item? That happens.

An entire case? That’s what made me stop.

I brought it to management, and to their credit, they came over and cleared out the entire case.

If you bought meat there recently, you might want to double-check what you actually got.

Not trying to cause problems — just making sure people get what they paid for.

Howdy-do! Dave here from Stringtown BBQ! I just realized that we won’t be hosting the jeep creep for Saint Jude this year. 😞

The surrounding Jeep clubs were some of our biggest supporters, and we fully support their support of Saint Jude and all the wonderful things they do!

Howdy-do! Dave here from Stringtown!

I’ve got a couple of items for sale that I don’t need to take with me to Lake Thunderbird as they were kind enough to build me a new kitchen.

So I have a Nu-Vu convection oven proofer.

And, a true upright, single commercial refrigerator.
