The perfect day in Washburn starts at our wonderful park at the town’s entrance. There, you can unpack the pets, the children, your favorite book, or your pickle ball paddle. When it’s time for a break, just one block away, are the duckworks gift shoppe and the Washburn Thrift Store where you can browse through an array of treasures. Across the street you’ll find The Mudd Puddle Coffee and Ice-cream to treat yourself to an afternoon caffeinated drink.

We open our doors at 4 PM—grab a pizza to take to the park to eat in one of the pavilions. When it’s dessert time, make your way back to the Mudd Puddle for an ice cream treat. Pack everyone and everything and make one last stop at Washburn Quick Mart where the gas is the cheapest in the entire area and the snack options are abundant.

Memorial Day is on Monday and we’d like to thank and remember everyone who served in the armed forces and sacrificed for this great nation.

We will be closed from Saturday to next Tuesday, but back on Wednesday (May 27)!

It was the late 1980s, Bryan Adams nostalgically sang about the “Summer of ‘69”, and in Washburn there was something almost cultural called “the cruise route.” Gas was cheap and cell phones didn’t exist. The grocery store’s parking lot across the street from us was where high schoolers hung out late into the night and our cheese pizza bread had become a staple. Life was that simple.

And after all these years, pizza bread is still on our menu. Today, customers order it with more than just cheese (pictured), but it’s nice to see some things haven’t fully changed.
