NO DOGS | NO RESERVATIONS | BYOeverything We will serve six different varieties of homemade brick oven style pizzas topped with delicious locally sourced ingredients (when available). Pleasant Grove sits on 55 acres of prairie grassland, surrounded by beautiful oak trees and wildlife. We invite you to bring all of your picnic-style dining necessities to include seating, utensils, beverages, and your choice of dining surface while you take in the alluring views during dinner. We also encourage you to stroll along the nature trails through our natural prairie and oak-filled woods.

I say it every year & I may say it about every event we host here on the farm, but, deep in my heart & soul, this is easily my favorite….

There is something special & beautiful about worship on the farm in autumn. The prairie turns golden, the leaves deepen into coppers, ambers & reds. Some leaves seem to burn a neon orange and yellow, all while the light softens across it. Those colors have a way of stirring something in me, a little inspiration, a little wonder, a reason to pause, take it in & be a little more grateful.

The crisp air wakes you up. You breathe a little deeper, feel a little more alive & become more aware of the world around you + the people beside you.

Maybe that’s why fall & worship feel so natural together. This season invites reflection. It reminds us that things change, that there is beauty in letting go & that we have much to be grateful for. You don’t have to have all the answers to feel connected to something bigger than yourself. I don't know about you, but that feeling of wonder is inspiring, exhilarating and calming.

The heart of this place has always been a simple hope: that people would gather. To share food, conversation, music & moments that become memories. Making space for a worship service feels like a natural extension of that hope.

And getting to stand together, surrounded by the beauty of this season, with room to reflect, sing or simply listen… well, that stays with me.

For the second year in a row, we were asked to host the local Greater Mankato Area United Way. And for the second year, I’m in awe.

In awe of the passion and dedication of the women I worked with.
In awe of the inspiration they exuded.
In awe of how easily it all seemed to flow...the planning, the setup, the event & all of the little moments in between.

But most of all, I’m in awe of what happens when people come together because they care so deeply about their community. Laughter + conversation filled the barn and the support shown was as moving as it was incredible. The generosity of the evening stayed with me long after the evening ended.💛

Thank you to Greater Mankato Area United Way for the invitation to host again, we were more than honored.

Most importantly, thank you for everything you do for our community. 🌈

This weekend kicks off our four weeks of
Flavors of Fall!

The weekly feature is a staff favorite with a base of our homemade Carolina Gold BbQ sauce, sauerkraut, brats braised in b**r then pan fried, because who doesn't love that crisp! Covered with sharp cheddar cheese that gives it a little more depth, which helps balance the sauce and topped with pickled red onions once it's cooked in the wood fired oven.

On tap we have a Schells & Badger Hill Brewing Oktoberfest, a caramel apple c***r, Mineral Springs Brewery Marzen and Elysian Brewing's Punkuccino Coffee Pumpkin Ale, which contains caffeine because it is brewed with a shot of Stumptown cold brew coffee toddy concentrate🍻

One sauce, endless iterations.

Our favorite that we like to share is Bill's Pistachio Pesto & this weekend we're keeping it deliciously easy and putting it on pizza fries...presto, pesto pizza fries!

My second favorite way to eat pesto is as a pasta toss with bowtie noodles, kalamata olives, fresh garden cherry tomatoes + topped with a sprinkle of fresh grated Parmesan cheese!

*fun fact that I learned this morning while reading more about basil is that it can be froze! Which is great because we have so much beautiful basil that still needs to be harvested. I will blanch it and at a later time use it to make more pesto as well as use it with my frozen tomatoes to make tomato basil soup🍅

➡️We are open today 4-8p. with take out & delivery to the brewery. Tomorrow, Sunday the 20th we are open 1-6p. with live music by Chris Bertrand from 4-6p.

What a weekend it will be!

Starting with the Farmers Delight weekly feature in collaboration with Masons Sweet Corn, located just down the road from us. This pizza starts with a base of white w**e & butter sauce, layered with light mozzarella, andoulie sausage, sweet corn, a three cheese blend & scallions!

To say it pairs well with the Music on the Prairie band is an understatement! Introducing the TC Ramblers, a band that sings your favorite classic country songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Known to get you up out of your seat and twirling your baby 'round to the likes of Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton & many more!

*$5/person cover charge to enter Saturday for Music on the Prairie. Even if you're coming to "just eat pizza." This has been planned & posted on the website since early last winter🫩🫵🏼🫶🏼

Meet Michael.
The inspiration I was looking for.
The motivation I was needing.

I’ve always wanted to collaborate with someone outside of the world I work in. Someone who simply loved food because it was a hobby. Because cooking was relaxing to them. Because trying a new recipe, discovering an unexpected flavor or sitting down to a really good meal was something they genuinely enjoyed.

Not because it was their job. Not because they owned a restaurant or had something to sell. But simply because food brought them joy.

Someone who looked at food differently than I do, not from the business side of it, but from the pure enjoyment of it. The kind of person who reads cookbooks for fun & plans a whole trip around a restaurant and gets genuinely excited when they discover something really, really good.

Believe it or not, I get nervous asking people to collaborate (well, for a multitude of reasons😉).
But, in walks Michael and I felt the inspiration settle in + come alive! Once I heard the story behind the pizza he was recreating, I knew this was exactly the kind of collaboration I had been looking for....

A word from Michael:
"We took the pizza class at Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm and, being the nerd that I am, brought my own tomato reduction and basil purée because I wanted to try making Franco Pepe’s Margherita Sbagliata inspired by Pepe in Grani. Emily and Bill liked it and asked if I’d champion a pizza for the weekend. The whole thing really goes back to lists of 'the best pizza in the world' and 'Chef’s Table: Pizza' on Netflix, where Franco Pepe’s approach to pizza really left a mark. We eventually made it to Pepe in Grani in Italy and had the Sbagliata Margherita. It was sublime. It’s a pretty basic pizza, really, but the way he treats those ingredients and puts it all together makes it something special. It stuck with me. So when Emily and Bill gave me the chance to bring the idea to Pleasant Grove Pizza Farm, the only answer is 'yes.'"
