Can Our Steel Horse Community help us find Brenton & Abby a Home?

Finding great people is hard.

Finding them a place to call home is even harder.

By now, many of you have gotten to know Brenton and Abby here at the Steel Horse. They've quickly become a wonderful part of our Steel Horse family, and we're hoping to help them put down roots here in the Northwoods.

We're looking for a year-round rental within a reasonable drive of the Steel Horse. A small home, cabin in the woods, cottage, or guest house would be perfect.

We know many of the best rentals around here never make it online—they're found through neighbors, friends, and word of mouth.

If you know of a place that's available now, or one that might be coming available over the next couple of months, we'd be incredibly grateful if you'd send us a message or share this post.

Our First Friday Prime Rib Night Was a Huge Success… and We Learned a Few Things.

First, thank you to everyone who joined us. The response was better than we imagined, and we couldn’t be more excited to make Friday Night Prime Rib a Steel Horse tradition.

Here’s what we learned:

✔️ Northwest Wisconsin loves great prime rib.

✔️ Most of you like it cooked medium rare.

✔️ We need to make more.

That’s exactly what we’ll be doing this Friday.

We want to have enough for more of you to enjoy—while never compromising the quality that makes our prime rib worth coming back for.

Great traditions aren’t built in a single night. We’ll keep learning, we’ll keep improving, and every Friday we’ll work to make your prime rib experience even better than the last.

Our goal isn’t just to serve prime rib.

Our goal is to become Northwest Wisconsin’s Friday night prime rib destination.

We’ll be ready for you this Friday.

It’s going to be another hot one in WASCOTT today !

To help keep our kitchen a little cooler during today’s extreme heat, we’re making one small adjustment.

🍸 The bar opens at noon, so stop in and cool off with an ice-cold beer or one of Abby’s handcrafted cocktails.

🔥 Once those grills and exhaust hoods are running, our kitchen heats up in a hurry. So today, we’re simply delaying the grill opening until 2, with dinner service beginning at 4:00.

Chef Brenton’s full dinner menu will be available, including his Pasta Special, back by popular demand for one more day while it lasts.

Thanks for understanding, stay cool, and we’ll see you this afternoon! 🍻

In all seriousness, these beautiful USDA Choice rib roasts are slowly roasting as we speak. Great prime rib isn’t rushed—it starts with quality beef and takes time, patience, and care.

Tonight we’ll be serving hand-cut USDA Choice prime rib with scratch-made cheesy au gratin potatoes, fresh asparagus, and our house-made horseradish cream.

Prime rib dinners start at $38.

If you’re looking for the traditional Friday night fish fry, there are plenty of great places to find one.

Chef Brenton will be hand-carving slow-roasted Prime Rib every Friday at the Steel Horse Saloon & Grill. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
