Today kicks off National Small Business Week - a time to recognize and celebrate the vital role small businesses play in our communities - and we’re starting things off with a Small Business Spotlight on Mizuna Gardens LLC. 🌱🌟🌿
There’s a new standard for locally grown and farm-fresh. And it all starts at Mizuna Gardens under the green thumb and watchful eye of owner and farmer Danielle Smith. This six-acre farm just outside Scappoose city limits specializes in unusual and heirloom salad greens for local chefs, seasonal items for Zupan’s Markets, and greens sold directly to the public. 🥬🚜
“I am very proud to work with the St. Helens School District, supplying their students with locally grown produce,” Danielle said about their list of deliveries. “We also sell directly to the public with weekly pickups on Wednesdays.” 🏫🥕
While Danielle and her team know a thing or two about growing crops, they looked to InRoads for help in growing their business. “We got a business loan through the credit union to purchase a hydroponic system. And we received a grant that will go toward improvements. I’d recommend InRoads to any business owner. It’s been great!” 💼🌱💡
The next time you’re looking for the best quality greens out there from a family farm that practices organic principles, check out Mizuna Gardens at mizunagardens.com. 🌿🥗💚
