When the Canfield Fair asked us if we would be down to make an ice cream in anticipation of this year's fair, we were honored, and couldn't say no!

Here's what our team came up with: Funnel Cake super-premium ice cream made with vanilla and chocolate sandwich cookies.

And when we say Funnel Cake, we mean it — we used actual fried funnel cakes in this recipe, blending them right into the ice cream mix. 🤤

Made for the Canfield Fair. Available ONLY at our CANFIELD location (did you know we had a Canfield location? 🤔), and only while it lasts!

🥒 WE DID IT.

Sweet Pickle Super-Premium Ice Cream is officially a thing.

When the organizers of the Youngstown Pickle Fest asked if we'd make pickle ice cream for this year's festival... we looked at each other and said:

"...Yeah, we can probably do that." 🤷🏼‍♂️

We built a sweet cream base with a real pickle brine & sugar reduction, then folded in real dehydrated pickles, courtesy of Delirium Pickling LLC. Made with real pickle brine and real pickles—because there was no other way to do it.

It tastes exactly like you'd expect... sweet, tangy (thanks, vinegar!), salty, and unmistakably pickle. 😅🥒

This flavor was created EXCLUSIVELY for the Youngstown Pickle Fest, where you can find this ice cream and MANY other pickle-related items all day on August 15 at Penguin City - Youngstown, OH.

We made just enough extra sweet pickle ice cream that we'll be offering FREE TASTES this weekend at both Cockeye Creamery scoop shops (Warren & Canfield).

Just enough to answer the question:
"What does pickle ice cream actually taste like?"

It started life in R&D as Strawberry Pretzel “Salad”—modeled after the summertime kid pool-party, family-reunion, potluck extravaganza (and a particularly good one we ate in July.)

After being put through the absolute GRINDER in Flavor Development, we’re finally ready to call it finished:

Cheesecake ice cream with real strawberries + house-made pretzel brittle. (Thanks, sis! 😉)

COCKEYE TURNS SEVEN! 🎉

Seven years ago, we started making ice cream in the back of Dad's BBQ restaurant with a literal handful of recipes, a ton of optimism, and a dream to build the little ice cream brand that could.

Today, we're proud that Cockeye Creamery has grown into multiple independent scoop shops, a manufacturing facility here in Warren, and a wholesale business serving restaurants and retailers throughout the Mahoning Valley.

To every customer who became a friend, every employee who wore the logo with pride, every vendor who believed in us, and every community that welcomed us in—thank you. You're the wind in our sails.

To celebrate another year, we're bringing back a tradition we've kept since the beginning...
