Good afternoon everyone. Hope you all had a nice July 4th weekend. I've got some new specials to tell you about. For a change, I will be brief.....

1. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Lot of requests to bring this one back. Our sweet cream buttermilk pancake batter with fresh squeezed lemon juice and ricotta whipped in. Deliciously light and fresh.

2. Pulled Chicken w/White Sauce. Also commonly called "Alabama White Sauce" it's a creamy and tangy sauce that will hold our hold our house made pulled chicken together. It will be topped with fried pickles and muenster cheese and served on a toasted brioche bun.

3. Pineapple Upside Down Cake. We were going to make this into a muffin but decided to just make a cake and cut into nice squares for you.

4. Creamy Chicken and Vegetable Soup. No disrespect to the soup but this one is self explanatory.

I just wanted to mention real quick that we are closed on Saturday, July 4th. Regular hours Friday and Sunday still apply. I'm expecting everyone to eat their weight in burgers and dogs for the next few days so of course we went the other way. Allow me to introduce the Bubba Gump week of specials......

1. Seafood Newburg Omelet, featuring SHRIMP, crab and surimi (fancy word for fake crab, which I happen to love and also helps us keep the price down for you). Newburg sauce is an old school cream sauce with seafood stock, cream, sherry and some fresh herbs. Absolutely delicious.

2. Firecracker SHRIMP Melt. Two pieces of grilled sourdough topped with the newburg sauce, fresh grilled SHRIMP, grilled tomato and pepper jack cheese. It's finished with firecracker sauce (spicy and sweet) after spending some time in the broiler melting.

3. SHRIMP, rice, coconut and lime soup.

4. SHRIMP Scampi muffin. If you're still reading, that's fake. It would be disgusting. The acutal muffin is coconut and lime.

I know I say it all the time but this weekend especially we wish you a SAFE as well as happy holiday. Have to be extra careful with those fireworks under these extreme heat conditions. Stay cool and hydrated and we hope to see you soon.

It's been awhile since I forgot to post the specials and today was ALMOST one of the days. Alas, it is not and I will give you an abbreviated version of our specials that begin tomorrow.

1. Minestrone. Tomatoes, cannelini beans, zuchini, carrots, celery and small shells.

2. Mint Oreo Muffin. Mint extract and crushed Mint Oreo pieces in the batter as well as crumbled on top.

3. Veggie & Cheese omelet. Sundried tomatoes, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, all in our three egg omelet with cheddar.

4. Double French onion burger. Our Angus burger topped with caramelized onions, Swiss and mozzarella cheeses, and finished with fried onion straws.

Father's day is upon us as well as new specials. You all seemed to enjoy us going outside the box a little more than usual. This week we've got a mix of old and new.

On the old side, we'll be bringing back the creamy tomato basil soup. As always, we will float some flavor blasted goldfish in it. Great by itself or with a grilled cheese to dip into it. We will also be baking double chocolate muffins. Our batter loaded with Hersheys chocolate chips, cocoa powder and a little hint of sour cream to give it some twang.

The new breakfast is a whole lot of pork. We'll be replacing the English muffin in an eggs benedict with our southern style buttermilk biscuit. It will be topped with two sausage patties, our sausage gravy and two poached eggs (scrambled or over easy to medium if you prefer). We will finish it with some crumbled bacon and chives. Your choice of home fries, tomato slices or fruit.

It has been a very long time since we offered a meatball sandwich and that is exactly what we are doing this week. House made meatballs and marinara, Aversa hoagie roll, plus a combination of mozzarella and smoked provolone melted on top. One of my personal favorites every time I go out. You can add any of our sides for a small upcharge.

I'm a little ahead for the day so I'll get the specials posted and we can all get back to figuring out what we are going to do for fun this weekend. This week the lineup is four things we have never done before. We pushed our creativity and our comfort zone and hopefully will find yours!

The entire menu sprang from this dish. Until yesterday I did not know what buldak chicken was. I now know it's chicken marinated in gojuchang (red pepper paste), spicy warm herbs and sprite! We'll be dicing the chicken and putting it in our three egg omelet with onions, peppers and pepper jack cheese. Spicce level is high on this one.

I think I've also mentioned that when I scroll videos on Instagram I see mostly food and dogs. Well Sam saw a video and sent it to me and it looks awesome. It's a Korean Street Food sandwich and we've put our spin on it. Grilled Texas toast, spam, a freshly grilled vegetable and egg fritter (or small pancake if you will), cheddar cheese, sriracha aioli and Sweet Baby Rays bbq.

You've probably picked up on the Korean theme by now. We've got a Korean vegetable stew featuring more of the gojuchang, white miso, all the vegetables and some fancy mushrooms (cremini and shiitake to be exact). All of that in a chicken broth which equals a mouth full of flavor in every spoonful. This soup is coming in at medium on the heat scale.

Finally, we'll be making a butter mochi muffin. This one is also unique in that it is made with rice flour instead of all purpose flower and uses coconut milk instead of regular milk. I'm very much looking forward to see how these turn out tomorrow. If you hear screams around 630 AM, I'll be going to plan B. There is also no plan B yet.

Almost forgot to post the specials as it has been a bit of a day. Let me give you the highlights real quick so you know what's cooking starting tomorrow.

1. Loaded Taco Soup.

2. Banana & Chocolate chip muffin.

3. Chocolate chip cannoli French toast.

4. Crunchy chicken hoagie with garlic mayo, sauteed spinach, roasted long hots and sharp provolone.

Well this has been a unique week to say the least. It's the first time we've been featured in a social media post that we didn't make. Seeing all the new faces is very exciting. We always work very hard to bring you the best quality food we can. I know our regulars know that already because y'all keep coming back.

This week we are doing a little collaboration of our own (just paying it forward) with Jones'N Bagels of Hatboro. I've bought these for the crew as well as my family several times and they're really good.

Starting tomorrow we'll be using their asiago bagel and filling it with grilled kielbasa (also locally purchased ), Sriracha bacon, two fried eggs plus American and cheddar cheeses. Includes your choice of home fries, tomato slices or fresh cut fruit.

We will also be bringing back the Dagwood club. Some of you may remember the Blondie comic strip where her husband, Dagwood, would make jumbo sandwiches. This one will feature roasted turkey, Virginia ham, applewood smoked bacon, Swiss and American cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, yellow mustard and mayonnaise. Your choice of white, wheat or rye bread.

Soup is cheeseburger. Angus ground beef and onions sauteed as the base, then American and cheddar cheeses in the stock as well as ketchup, mustard and a couple other tricks. Garnished with a little lettuce and diced tomatoes.

Muffin will be orange and also topped with a fresh orange glaze.

It's that time again. Looks like a little bad weather rolling in for the holiday. We will be closed Monday for the holiday but we're open and working hard all the other days. Here's the new lineup that begins tomorrow.

1. Sweet corn soup. Another vegetarian soup with lots of fresh corn, herbs and a little milk to make it creamy.

2. Red, white and blue muffin. Strawberries, white chocolate chips and blueberries. Finished with a little whipped cream and rainbow jimmies.

3. Fruit and Yogurt bowl. Girls have been asking me to do this for awhile now. Whole milk Greek yogurt, strawberry, blueberry, banana, honey almond granola, wildflower honey.

4. Spicy Pulled Pork. Our slow roasted pork on a toasted brioche bun with mango/habanero bbq sauce, pepper jack cheese and house made onion rings. Add any of our sides for a few dollars more.
