To our amazing patrons that have become forever friends:
With tears already swelling, I am sad to announce that Squirrel Murphys, our neighborhood bar, will be closing its doors for good next month. Our last day of business will be Saturday, May 27th. We would like to thank all of our patrons for supporting us over the years- your unending loyalty is why we are still here today.
Squirrels is more than a bar.. it’s the place where you go to get away and breathe. It’s the place you go for advice, solicited or not. It’s the place you meet your buddies at every day for happy hour (or as often as the Misses allows it😆). It’s the place where you nourish your soul with laughter and cheer. It’s the place you met good ol Kev at, and you now have a forever friend. It’s the place you go to play pool by yourself and no one questions you. It’s the place you get your Dad out to once a year on New Year’s Eve to play shuffleboard. It’s the place you meet your friends at to watch your favorite sports. It’s the place where an impromptu birthday party gets thrown for you by the bartenders. It’s the place you put on a performance for everyone at while singing into a spoon “microphone”. Its the place everyone comes back into and says “I used to come here years ago! I love this place!” It’s the place where everyone is accepted for exactly who they are and loved just the same.
It’s HOME.
Please join us this Saturday, May 6th from 12pm to 2am for a Farewell Festival as a way to say thank you and to spend a day making memories in a place that has become a staple spot to so many. There will be baskets of cheer, raffles, a pool tournament, power hour starting at 3pm, shuffleboard, co****le, singing, dancing, food, friends, family… We hope you are able to stop by!

Remember, it’s not goodbye, it’s “Where ya headed tonight?” We LOVE you all more than words can say!
