I’d like to take a moment to celebrate a friend who has always put the good of his community first.

Joey has stepped into a role of leadership not to elevate himself, but to lift up the people around him. He works tirelessly for this community—but to him, it’s never just been a job. It’s much more than that.

If you ask me, I’d call it a calling.

That’s the kind of energy, effort, and heart Joey has put into the Town of Wappingers for as long as I’ve known him. Public service isn’t something he decided to get into one day—it’s been part of who he is since he was a kid.

It’s election time, and I hope we all get out and show Joey just how much we appreciate everything he has done—and continues to do—for our community.
