Hello Everyone,
We are sad to announce today that we are closing the shop for good at the end of this week, June 24th! With inflation over the past year and also being a small business located on a rural Native American Reservation, it has been a bit harder for us to keep the doors open. So unfortunately, we have no choice but to close the doors permanently. It’s a sad day for us here at PopA Joes. But we appreciated seeing all of the support. We are so GRATEFUL for all of our employees, family and every loyal customer and friends whom wanted to see PopA Joes succeed. Especially from our regular customers whom have now become friends and from our family and friends that would drive in from the surrounding cities and towns to Walthill. We would also like to thank the local bank and village office for collaborating together to create the small business incubators so this could all happen. Most importantly we want to thank the Walthill Public School, we are so thankful that you took advantage every month to purchase treats from us for the students and faculty. We can not thank you all enough 🙏🏽 🙏🏻.
We knew opening the shop in Walthill would be risky and challenging. But we still took on the challenge of wanting to bring our idea of a modern soda and coffee shop to our rural community. I would like to say even though we are having to close the doors. We feel a tremendous amount of success from all of the smiles and laughter that we were able to enjoy in the shop. We wanted to create a safe place for the kids of the community to come in and hangout. To give them hope, talk about dreams and aspirations and create ideas of becoming entrepreneurs. We wanted to create an experience for them to feel something different, new and exciting. To have the feeling of comfort and happiness when you would walk in through our doors. We were able to hire local community members and family to help run the shop and to teach them about responsibility, local cash flow and hard work. So from achieving those small accomplishments this year… we know it was ALL worth it.
Again Everyone - Whiablhaho (thank you)
