Please keep them in your thoughts, continue to support our local farms however you can, and join us in hoping for a stronger season ahead.
❤️ From our restaurant family to theirs, we’re thinking of you.
As you’ve probably already heard on the news or from other local orchards, this year it will be difficult to find local tree fruit in the Lehigh Valley. Normally at this time of year our peach trees would be packed with small green peaches instead, as you can see in the picture, they are mostly bare. Therefore, our farm stand and pick your own will not be open as normal this year because of the Spring freeze. Farming is very dependent on the weather. We had some warm days in early April that pushed the blossoms on the fruit trees, then by April 21st we had two nights at 26 degrees which is below freezing and worse than a frost. The fruit at the base of the blossoms froze, destroying our crop. Fruit trees make their buds only one time a year - the fruit buds for this year were made during the growing season last year. We will miss seeing all of our beloved patrons this year and we hope that Mother Nature cooperates better next Spring. If there is any limited fruit that allows us to open in some capacity, we will post that here. There will not be enough fruit to offer pick-your-own this year and we will not have a pumpkin patch this year.
Thank you for your continued support!
