I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to the “Tribute Crew” which was comprised of friends (old & new), family, customers, and community members who all showed up last Saturday in celebration of Ramiro’s life. Whether helping in the kitchen, purchasing from the tribute menu, or simply hanging out, your presence is appreciated. The turnout was even better than we had expected and we actually sold out by 6:30pm. I’d especially like to thank Cherie of Puffect Bakery Cafe who initially conceived the idea and who then worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the event. We hope everyone who ordered enjoyed the food and that we were able to at least get close to meeting expectations.

I have had the opportunity to meet so many people over the past few weeks who were a part of Ramiro's day to day life at Paradise Pizza. I am truly grateful for each of these interactions as they have been extremely meaningful and cathartic for me. The shared stories of appreciation for him and his work at the pizza place has brought both tears and smiles. Most of which have been shared with Ramiro's friend and business neighbor Cherie of Puffect Bakery.

In a truly touching gesture of friendship, Cheri had suggested that we honor Ramiro by learning the recipes and open Paradise Pizza for a day to allow the community to eat from his kitchen at least one more time. So together we will be doing just that on Saturday October 19th.

Hope everyone can make it out to celebrate "Meedo" with us.

In an incredibly touching gesture of friendship & community, Cherie of Puffect Bakery suggested that we open Paradise Pizza for a day to honor Ramiro and provide the community a chance to once again eat from his kitchen.
So that's exactly what we are going to do. We invite everyone to come join us in celebrating Ramiro’s life and impact on our community. Saturday October 19th @ Paradise Pizza 376 S. Lemon Ave. Walnut.
We will be serving a limited menu of pizza, fried chicken & paradise potatoes from 11:00am to 8:00pm or ‘til sold out with all proceeds going to Ramiro’s family.
