The foundation for Chicks and Love© stems from their passion for delicious Real Food, Green Living”, and their gift of being able to “spread the LOVE” by sharing their knowledge, food and fun energy with the communities of the farmers’ markets! In their backyard farm, the Chicks raise chickens and 50,000 bees. Farm fresh eggs are used on top of their best selling flatbread pizza: The Farm Fresh.
The honey from their bees is used as a key ingredient in the flatbread pizza dough. The Chicks grow organic fruits and vegetables including many varieties of heirloom cherry tomatoes, from seed and basil for their seasonal special flatbread: The Homegrown. Much of the garlic chives, the garnish on all the flatbreads, as also from their backyard farm. The Chicks reduce, reuse and recycle by using their chickens' poop as fertilizer for their garden. They also turn their food scraps into fertilizer by hot composting as well as feeding foods scraps to their thousands of worms (vermicomposting). The worms make excellent fertilizer too!
