Foglight Foodhouse, our “Lantern in the Woods,” has been in operation since January 23, 1997. We prepare fresh, delicious fare with terrific service in a rustic, quirky atmosphere perched on a hillside between two bridges, overlooking the beautiful Caney Fork River. We’re closed Sunday and Monday, open Tuesday through Friday from 5pm until 8pm, Saturday serving lunch from noon until 2pm, and dinner from 4pm until 8pm. We are first-come, first-served, but we welcome larger events — weddings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations… the sky’s the limit. We’re located at 275 Powerhouse Rd in Walling, TN, and if you’re considering Walling/Rock Island as a destination, I can help you with dining, attractions, lodging, outdoor activities, and more— PM me, and I’ll help you in any way I can. As Southern as front porch supper, this dip will get your mouth ta-watering faster than green grass through a goose! Yup, this dip, K’s Pickadilly Dip, is an instant Foglight Southern classic, and it’s the newest addition to our culinary bag of tricks. Cream cheese whipped with dill pickle brine, chopped and pureed pickles, fresh dill, garlic, onion, and a heap of secret chef’s touches that sets the bar THIIIIIS high for other dips is served ice cold with a mound of crispy, made-in-house pita chips. Yep, it’s larruping good, and tomorrow, August 29th, you can be the first guests to love it. Ya feelin’ peckish? Me too! Come on, folks— let’s cook and eat!!

Every time I go somewhere new, I always look for a gift shop. You see, I LOVE souvenirs, and I'm guilty of buying all kinds of items that I'll likely never use. Care for a dog peeing in a shot glass? How about a 2' long squiggly pencil? Maybe a handmade boomerang with a sunset airbrushed on it? No?? Yeah, nothing says Gatlinburg like a neon-colored, ancient Aboriginal, semi-deadly aerial hunting tool. I don't blame you. That's why I try to select souvenirs for Foglight that people will use and keep. These items and more are available at Foglight, and as we get closer to the holiday season, we'll be adding even more -- some of them will be handmade (see Windy Hill Pottery.) Coffee mug (bigger than a cat's head) is $12.99. Pint glass (yes, it also holds milk, but it's better suited for barley pop) is $6.99. Richardson hat (no bad hair days, just GREAT hat days) is $29.99. Thanks for looking!
