After four fantastic summers, the Java Loon will not be reopening.

Four years ago, I said yes to an adventure of opening the Java Loon alongside getting a master’s degree. Today, I’m saying farewell to a place that will always hold a special place in my heart—and stepping into my next endeavor. We are so grateful for our hardworking staff, and for every customer—near and far—who came through our doors. And a special note of thanks to our perfect store neighbor, Enjoy, who will remain your sweet shoppe stop ❤️

🎣We have had many, many nibbles, but haven’t reeled the big one in yet.

❓As the season is approaching, the most frequently asked question I’m getting is “will you re-open if it doesn’t sell?” Even one of my kids asked me this!

😔Under my ownership, Java Loon will not reopen. However…..

🤞We are still getting leads and showings this week and I’m holding out hope for that keeper!

A bittersweet announcement 📣

Our hope was that we could sell the coffee shop business and lease the space to new owners. Over the last 18 months we have met with several interested buyers, but none have resulted in a sale. It has been a difficult decision for us to sell the property and coffee shop, but new endeavors and life plans are taking us in a different direction, opening the door for someone else to plant roots and become part of our small-town business community. The coffee and gift shop are turnkey ready to keep the Java Loon open or the cozy and welcoming space lends to anything you can dream up. The candy store will remain as a tenant. We are grateful for the 4 seasons our staff hustled and customers came through our doors 💝
