This week’s **Nominate a Local Legend** is about honoring the people who guide, encourage, and pour into others.

**Feed a Mentor**

A mentor does not always have an official title. Sometimes they are the person who listens, gives wisdom, offers encouragement, walks beside someone through a hard season, or helps them take the next right step.

This week, you can nominate someone local who mentors, leads, teaches, encourages, supports, or helps others grow. This could be a recovery sponsor, church leader, youth leader, coach, business mentor, community leader, family friend, or simply someone who makes a difference by showing up for others.

The selected mentor will receive a free thank-you meal from The Sub Hub, including a half sub, chips, and a drink.

A few words about why they deserve to be recognized

One nominated mentor will be selected and honored on Saturday.

This is our small way of saying thank you to the people who pour into others, help guide them forward, and make our community stronger one life at a time.

We are a day late getting this announcement posted, but we had so many wonderful nominations for this one, and we are so thankful to see how many hardworking people in our community are loved and appreciated. 💛

This week’s Nominate a Local Legend: Feed a Farmer honoree is Marlene Willoughby!

The Sub Hub is honored to give Marlene a free half sub meal as our local legend for Feed a Farmer.

Farmers and those who work in local agriculture put in long days, early mornings, and so much behind-the-scenes work that often goes unnoticed. They help feed, grow, raise, care for, and strengthen our community in ways that truly matter.

Marlene, thank you for the work you do and for the impact you have made. We are grateful for the heart, dedication, and hard work it takes to serve through farming and agriculture.

This is exactly why we started Nominate a Local Legend, to help our community recognize the people who make a difference, one thank-you meal at a time.

This week’s **Nominate a Local Legend** is rooted in hard work, long days, early mornings, and the people who help keep our community fed and cared for.

**Feed a Farmer**

We want to honor someone in our community who works in farming, growing, raising, tending, planting, harvesting, feeding, caring for animals, or helping keep local agriculture going.

Farmers and agricultural workers do so much behind the scenes. They work in the heat, the cold, the rain, and the early morning hours. They care for land, animals, crops, families, markets, and communities, often without much recognition.

This week, you can nominate a local farmer, farm worker, grower, livestock caretaker, orchard worker, nursery worker, beekeeper, homesteader, or someone who actively works in local agriculture.

The selected farmer will receive a free thank-you meal from The Sub Hub, including a half sub, chips, and a drink.

To nominate someone, comment below with:

Their name
What they do in farming or agriculture
A few words about why they deserve to be recognized

One nominated farmer will be selected and honored on Saturday.

We are incredibly excited to announce that starting Monday, June 8th, The Sub Hub will be serving lunch at CS Structures / Stor-Mor Portable Buildings in Fair Play!

One thing we've heard over and over is that there aren't many lunch options open on Mondays in Fair Play. We're excited to help change that by bringing fresh, made-to-order subs, wraps, chips, and drinks to the community every Monday.

**Feed a Volunteer**

We want to honor someone in our community who serves without always being seen. Volunteers are often the ones working behind the scenes, showing up early, staying late, helping at churches, schools, nonprofits, recovery groups, youth programs, community events, fundraisers, shelters, food drives, and so many other places where help is needed.

This week, you can nominate a local volunteer who deserves to be recognized and treated to lunch.

The selected volunteer will receive a free thank-you meal from The Sub Hub, including a half sub, chips, and a drink.
