We really want to take a moment to say thank you.
Recently, we’ve seen both support and criticism online. The internet is powerful, and we’ve felt both sides of it. Some people believe we’re only doing this for money, but the truth is, we could have walked away. We chose not to.
Our home is here. Our kids are growing up here. Over time, we’ve become part of this community — and to us, this community feels like family.
And it’s not just us. So many of our team members have built their lives here too. Some have been with Szechuan Garden for years, and this place has become part of their daily life and livelihood. That’s another reason why we stayed and chose to keep going.
We also felt a responsibility to this community. We were taught growing up that when you make a mistake, you don’t run away from it — you face it, learn from it, and do better. That’s what we are trying to do every day.
This is part of our daily routine after closing — not for show, just what we do every day.
We may look different, but this community has always been welcoming and supportive. That’s a big part of why Szechuan Garden has been here since 1984.
