The last of the basil!
We did 20 vacuum sealed bags of pesto sauce for the freezer with this last haul of basil. Lots of yummy chicken pesto dinners coming up over the winter. Fortunately, chicken pesto and green beans is one dinner ALL of my children eat without complaining so it gets a prime time spot on the meal plan. What about you, do you love pesto?

Just a quick apple cobbler tonight!
Fill a pan with apples (peeling is best but I was in a hurry). Toss with brown sugar (measure with your heart).
Add a cobbler topping:
300g flour
150g sugar
10g salt
20g baking powder
240g milk
2 sticks butter cup on top
Bake at 350 until your house smells like hot apples. Enjoy!

Wednesday is my big bake prep night! I also do some trial baking for work the next day so all my ladies can test it out for me. These thumbprint flights are shaping up beautifully! Apple pie filling, pumpkin butter, and pecan pie are making heavenly smells in my kitchen. (Caramel cashew not pictured).

I have enough thumbprints prepped for ONE more flight and ONE slice of caramel apple coffee cake not claimed yet. Claim them for yourself because the weekend is almost here!

I love when I'm on the ball and get a head start on dinner. This orange soup is the easiest harvest soup..

New Menu Drop! Look closely because there are BIG CHANGES on this one.
NEW HOURS:
The Farmstand will be open Friday, Saturday and SUNDAY this weekend! Several of you asked for Sunday hours so here I am delivering!!!

I will also be opening at 9am. This is mostly for my sleep and sanity because I do not enjoy homeschooling my children after starting my day at 4:30 to bake fresh bread. But I don't think it will be missed since in 3 months of having the Farmstand open, only 1 customer has come by before 9am anyway!

NEW ITEMS:
Pumpkin chocolate chip bread... my niece's favorite of all time, this bread is a brown sugar pumpkin bringing that delicious maple, but no pumpkin spice! If you want pumpkin spice, grab a thumbprint flight.
Caramel Apple Coffee Cake... with baked down apples and caramel mixed into the bread and melty caramel on top, this loaf is sinfully delicious and disappeared way too quickly.
Thumbprint Flight...This fantastically fall flight will feature 4 different kinds of thumbprints... caramel cashew, apple butter, pumpkin butter, and pecan pie.

PRE-ORDER ONLY ITEMS:
There are 3 items on the menu this week that are ONLY available by pre-order. While I love browse and buy for the summer, winter is a whole different beast so pre-ordering needs to become the norm because nobody wants frozen bread covered in snow at a farmstand.
Caramel apple coffee cake... don't snooze on this one because I only have enough Caramel to make 1 more pan until I run down to Trader Joe's. Those 4 slices are worth vying for!
Cranberry Bliss Sourdough... this loaf is absolutely delightfully fall, with cranberry powder in the dough, craisins, pistachios and white chocolate, and pairs perfectly with cream cheese.
Thumbprint flights... last time I offered a flight, I way overbaked and ended up with dozens in my freezer that we had to eat. So help me bake more accurately this time and pre-order!
