Staying at home perspective on Motherhood Viewpoint from the other side of life.....you precious and highly, incredibly valued mommies are so important!! I use to wonder in the day to day if what I was doing was really valued. I look at my adult children now and I'm so thankful to the Lord that I was able to stay home with them. I see the lack of it all around. I had the blessing of being there to talk through things with them and sometimes intercept things that could have been disastrous for them. What might have happened if I wasn't there? I shudder to think.

It may feel on some days that life is passing you by, but it's not true. You're giving life with every day, every glass of milk, every sandwich, every tear you comfort, every assignment you help with, every conversation you have. The security you provide is without measure. In this crazy day and age you're providing the balance and wisdom your children need and won't get in daycare or in school. Thank you for being there. Thank you for all the sacrifice. Thank you for releasing balanced and healthy young people into the world with strong values and an ability to actually think. We need you!!!! When the day seems long try to remember the goal. Remember that when your child goes to get a job you're helping their employer to further their business, helping society to have a person there with intelligence to help them (we've all experienced the opposite), maybe a little old lady that might need a helping hand from a young man or woman that won't rob or injure them, and so much more! You might be raising an adult that will go into government and make changes to our society that will actually do some good. Who knows? The ramifications of what you're doing today go far and wide! Careers will be there when the kids are grown and you'll be better for what you're doing right now. Be encouraged! You're highly valued!!!!

The Olde English Tea Room will be closing permanently on December 24th, 2016. We hope to see you before then! You can visit our website at www.oldeenglishtearoom.com to place your reservation! It has been our pleasure to make sweet memories with you all for the past 20 years!

The Sugar Magnolia Cafe & Emporium will open in our place February 2017. You can follow the cafe on Facebook (at https://www.facebook.com/sugarmagnoliacafe) to view progress and hear more details leading up to the opening.
